2022 MBC ADULT SAILING
Did you grow up sailing and now find yourself wishing you remembered the basics? Have you always wanted to sail but never had the opportunity to take a lesson? Or maybe you just need a break from a hectic workweek ... Whatever your reason—let us help you get back on the water!
There are three options for our adult sailing and all registration is available on the Clubspot site.
Wednesday Night Ladies Sailing Lessons in the MBC Sonar
Ladies Sailing will cover rigging & de-rigging, points of sail, basic terminology and concepts (wind direction, sail trim/control, current/tide), and how to successfully get on and off of the mooring! This is a clinic for all levels—no previous experience necessary and true beginners are welcome! Lessons will be offered weekly, 5:30-7:30 PM, from July 13 through August 3, with the potential for more nights to be added in mid-August. Each clinic requires at least 2 sailors and can accommodate up to 4. The cost is $50 per person.
Thursday Night General Adult Instruction
Thursday nights are open to all adult members and will have the same instructional focus as the Wednesday night Ladies class. Thursday class will run from 5:30-7:30 PM beginning July 14 through August 4, with the potential for additional dates later in the summer. A minimum 2 adults are required to run a lesson, and the cost is $50 per person.
Friday Night Sunset Cruises
Enjoy a relaxed sunset sail on MBC's Sonar Tango Delta. Cruises will be helmed by an experienced skipper from MBC's sailing community. BYO snacks and beverages and take in the waterfront view as the sun goes down - a great way to end your week!
Each cruise requires at least 2 sailors and can accommodate up to 4. Cruises will run from 5:30-7:30 PM beginning July 22 and the cost is $25 per person.
